Join Angela Cote, owner of Sacred Tree Yoga Studio and author Stu Klane for a wide ranging as we discuss some of the principals of yoga, meditation and spiritual awakening and their impact on emotional well being.
Angela Cote –
Angela is the creator of Sacred Tree Yoga Studio and Wellness Center. She was yoga certified in 2010 thru Finding Inner Peace Yoga 200 hour program and is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She is Yin certified through Open Doors Yoga with a second certification of Yin and Meditation with Sagel Urlacher. She is currently pursuing an additional 300 hour yoga certification with Jacqui Bonwell of Sacred Seeds Yoga School. Angela is a certified Usui Reiki Ryoho Master Teacher and has been practicing since 2002. She certifies students for all levels of Reiki. She is grateful and feels privileged to have a space available to the community
Stu is the creator and owner of The Harley Healer. When he is not wrenching motorcycles, he shares his verbal tools of experience and knowledge. Stu feels that one of the greatest tools you can have is living in the present moment. Stu offers workshops for learning these tools. He incorporates his book “Wisdom, Magic, and Miracles – Tools for today; Wisdom for life” as a reminder for mindful living.
Barbara Gillmiester shares the incredible story of how she and her husband David turned the grief of losing their son (Steven “Gilly” Gillmeister) into a living legacy honoring his life. Gilly’s House will open this spring bringing much needed sober living space to our area.
Gilly’s House is a residential program for young men who have struggled with addiction and want to continue their recovery. It offers a stable, structured, supportive and safe environment to achieve personal goals while attaining the transitional life skills necessary to reintegrate into community life. Caring for the needs of each individual, Gilly’s House collaboratively works with each young man to develop personal goals and a plan to reach them.
The program offers the opportunity for social, educational and vocational growth. The daily structured schedule reinforces a lifestyle free of alcohol and drug use. Transitional life skills including healthy living, social services, career exploration, personal finance and self-help groups, along with a program of counseling and 12 Step group meetings is integral to the success of this program. Gilly’s House prepares young men to reenter life with a positive step forward; with the personal skills and community connections to continue to meet individual goals and live a successful life of sobriety.

Rabbi Tom Alpert is pleased to be part of the Temple Etz Chaim community. He was ordained from the New York campus of the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 2000 after a previous career as a lawyer. Since his ordination, he has served congregations in Malden, Brookline, and Marlborough, as well as having served as an interim rabbi in Madison, Connecticut. He has completed advanced training in congregational transition and change. During his legal career, he worked in private and public practice, including as an Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. He received his BA from Yale University in 1976, AM in American History from Harvard University in 1977, JD from Harvard Law School in 1982, and MAHL from HUC-JIR in 1999. Rabbi Alpert is married to Eileen Hagerty. They have three children: David, Katherine, and Andrew. He is happiest when Jews are involved in building community, worshiping with intention, and repairing the world, and when in addition to all this the Red Sox win.
Woody Giessmann is one of the founding members of Boston’s own Del Fuegos. The Del Fuegos enjoyed enormous success in the ‘80s and ‘90s and touring extensively throughout the US and Europe. The band played over 100 dates with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, ZZ Topp, INXS, James Brown and Bruce Springsteen.
Woody went on from life as a rock and roll musician to found Right Turn Inc. a leader in the area of Substance Abuse treatment. He is Chairman of Right Turn and was appointed to The Board Of Registry In Medicine by Governor Charlie Baker in February of 2016. Having spent many years of his professional life in music and the visual arts, Woody believes that the creative mission of Right Turn is of paramount importance.
Chip McGinn served our country for over 21 years as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Chip’s responsibilities with the Bureau were vast and included playing a critical role in counter terrorism operations. Chip received special awards for his role as a first responder to the attack’s on 9/11 at the World Trade Center and, most recently, the Boston Marathon bombing. Chip recounts stories from his career, reflects on the importance of public service and shares his unique perspective on the responsibility of protecting our nation in an ever changing world.
